Welcome to my home page where you will find information about me and how to reach me.

You may click on the links to the left of this page to find helpful information about accessing services at Kaiser Permanente and about health care topics of interest.

I joined the Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry in Redwood City during the Fall of 2004, after relocating from the East Coast. I received my undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1989 and my Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 1993. I later returned to Harvard University to obtain my Masters Degree in Public Health and work as a psychotherapist in their student mental health center. I have been a member of the National Association of Social Workers since 1993.

In my position at Kaiser Permanente, Redwood City as the Eating Disorders Specialist, I combine a number of treatment approaches in working with individuals, groups and families. I am fortunate to work with an experienced and gifted multi-disciplinary team.

I live in the Peninsula with my husband. We are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first child in July of 2005.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
