My Biography
I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the strong commitment that our clinicians and staff share for serving our diverse members. Our emphasis on health maintenance and screening is a proactive and smart approach to care. Having most procedures under one roof not only facilitates information sharing amongst clinicians, but also allows our members easy access to their providers. This system is truly patient-focused.
Within my field, I find the challenges of physiology interesting. Anesthesiology is a practice that interfaces with most hospital areas to provide the best care for patients throughout the perioperative period. I enjoy all aspects of the field: from regional anesthesia, to complex vascular cases, pediatrics, and obstetrical anesthesia. I find it especially gratifying to be able to connect with my patients and relieve their anxieties prior to their procedure.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with my family. We proudly grow produce in our very own vegetable garden. I THRIVE through running, swimming, and cycling. Competing in cycling races, participating in Century rides, and training for triathlons, doesn’t hurt either!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
