About Me

Thank you for your interest and taking time to learn more about me and the Radiology department here at Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center. At times, medical care can be complex and confusing and I hope this information is helpful to you and your family.

I was born and grew up locally in the bay area before attending the University of California at Berkeley for undergraduate studies. My medical school and Radiology residency degrees are from the University of California at Davis. This was followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular and Intervention Radiology from Stanford University before joining the Permanent Medical Group.

I choose to specialize in Radiology because I enjoy the duality of using imaging in aiding diagnosis and using the imaging modalities in performing minimally invasive procedures to help patients. Additionally, I have clinical interest and specialized training in the field of Interventional Radiology including peripheral angiography, angioplasty, liver and kidney interventions and minimally invasive procedures.

I believe it is important that all patients take an active role in their health care and try to establish a strong working relationship with their doctor.

When I am not busy working at the hospital, I like to spend time with my family and friends. My personal interests include photography, old movies, local sports and golf.

My Credentials

Medical school UC Davis School of Medicine, Davis, CA
Internship Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center, San Francisco, CA
Residency UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
Fellowship Stanford University Hospital, Stanford, CA
Board certification Diagnostic Radiology, American Board of Radiology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
