My Specialty and Why I Chose It
I am an orthopedic outpatient physical therapist. My current practice consists of spine, orthopedic, sports, and neurological rehabilitation.
My Practice Philosophy
My practice philosophy is to approach patients and their problems from a holistic perspective. This includes addressing and explaining the structural pathology and anatomy. I employ an evidenced-based therapy approach to establish an appropriate treatment plan while empowering patients to take control of their health and wellness. The key is identifying and educating patients on activities they can do, as opposed to concentrating on things they can’t do.
My Credentials
| Master of Science | Physical Therapy | Duke University |
My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente
I’ve been a part of Kaiser Permanente since 1983. The main reason I have chosen to practice physical therapy at Kaiser Permanente is because of the philosophy of the organization, including the emphasis on preventative care, health maintenance, and education.
Professional Interests & Affiliations
My professional interests focus on fitness, holistic spine care, musculoskeletal and sports therapy. I am also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the California Physical Therapy Association.
On a Personal Note. . .
While growing up in the San Francisco bay area, I enjoyed playing all sports and ran track and cross-country in high school and college. My interest and participation in competitive sports led to my interest in the fields of health and rehabilitation. I have been an avid runner all my life and enjoy masters competition. I live in the Roseville area with my wife and three children. Other outside interests include hiking, biking, camping, golf, tennis, and reading.
