My Biography

Kaiser Permanente’s model of preventative health care appeals to me because I believe it is especially important to instill an interest in and an education about health and well-being early in a child’s life. Kaiser also offers a unique medical environment in which doctors spend ample time with their patients, to ensure that they address all of a patient’s needs. Kaiser’s mission mirrors my own goals of educating children and their families about healthy lifestyles.

The healthy development of my patients is important to me. After completing my general pediatric training, my plans are to continue into child neurology. I am particularly interested in childhood stroke, as that is my current area of research. I look forward to working at Kaiser both for the supportive group of colleagues I will have the pleasure of working with, as well as the diverse group of patients with whom I will be fortunate to work.

Outside of work, I do my best to exercise several times per week (especially karate, in which I hold a black belt), and meditate daily to keep my mind astute and clear. I like all kinds of water sports, and I also play classical piano, enjoy traveling, reading, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
