About Me

I grew up in the North East and received my Undergraduate degree at Brown University before moving West to attend Medical School, Radiology Residency and Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. After all of those years of training in San Francisco, my roots in the Bay Area had grown deep, and I decided to make this my permanent home. During my Internship training in 1994 at Kaiser in San Francisco, I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the Radiology Department at the Oakland Kaiser facility. My rotation through the Department then was brief, but it left such a great impression, that when it came time to start looking for a job in the Bay Area, Kaiser became my first choice. I joined the Kaiser Oakland Radiology Department in 1999, served as Department Assistant Chief from 2001-2004, and am now the Sub-chief of the Ultrasound Section. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by such great colleagues, and in little ways every day, I am constantly reminded that I made the right decision by becoming part of the Kaiser team.

When I am not "on the job", I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, swimming, and exploring the various outdoor adventures that the Bay Area has to offer. I spend my off hours volunteering at local schools. I get my exercise by running and by taking dance classes at The New Style Motherlode Studio in Oakland.

I serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Margulis Society, which is the UCSF Radiology Alumni Association that raises money to fund important programs for the UCSF Radiology Residency.
