Thank You For Visiting My Home Page!

This home page offers an opportunity for you to learn more about me. In addition, the links to the left offer you quick access to some sites that will help you learn more about physical therapy topics and help you access the Kaiser Permanente system.

About Me

I chose to become a physical therapist for many reasons such as the knowledge that there would be a job waiting at the end of college and the ability to work and raise a family was also important to me. I looked into many health care related options available at the time and physical therapy looked like the most fun and appealing to me. I’m glad I chose this profession. I enjoy helping and educating people on how they can help themselves in their recovery from injury. As a hand therapist, there is a component of art along with the science that keeps things interesting. Another thing I like about working for Kaiser Permanente is working with other physical therapists, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practioners. The ease of communication and shared expertise available makes learning a daily event.

I believe my chief responsibility is being an educator. My job is to help educate my patients on the nature of their problem and provide potential solutions.

My free time is filled with family duties and fun. Our family is active with the Boy Scouts and on rare occasion, I enjoy settling down with a good book.

Other Languages

In addition to English, I am fluent, conversationally, in Spanish.

My Education and Credentials:

Physical Therapy Education BS from California State University, Long Beach
Licensure Physical Therapy Board of California
Certification Hand Therapist, Hand Therapy Certification Commission, INC.
Membership American Society of Hand Therapists

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
