My Biography

I came to Kaiser Permanente because I felt the organization was a perfect fit with my background. I liked Kaiser’s mission of putting patients first, and the way the organization embraces the concept of wellness, a concept that fits my own philosophy of preventive care. Kaiser’s labor/management partnership is also important to me. Kaiser’s Genetics department is a center of excellence in the field. We are a very active department. I must say that after 12 years in an administrative role, it is rewarding to connect with patients once again.

Kaiser provides high-quality care across specialties, going the extra mile to ensure that patients get what they need, at prices they can afford. Our customer service is first-rate. It is rare to see this combination of care and service delivered together.

The primary focus of my career has been on pregnant women. I have special interests in prenatal diagnosis and newborn screening. I interface frequently with our OB/GYN and Radiology departments, as well as with other specialties. I also work on my continuing education credits for nurses and general counselors.

I golf once per week and I play baseball in an adult league. I enjoy gardening in my yard where I have much produce, including apple trees and blueberries. I volunteer at the March of Dimes and participate in their annual walk. I do love to eat, but I balance that with a good exercise schedule. I enjoy cooking and walking on nature trails. Our family loves to travel and I love spending time with my kids. I have a daughter of 16 and two sons ages 11 and 12. Our pets include a cat and a pond filled with colorful koi!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
