Welcome!

I was born and raised in New York City. I relocated to California in 2005 with my fiancee who is originally from the Bay Area . He is also a practicing physician. He practices anesthesiology . I chose Kaiser Permente over other private groups because it offers the opportunity to devote time to practice pure medicine and concentrate on patient care without the hassle of managing the business aspect of a practice.

I have known from a very early age that I wanted to be a doctor. My whole immediate family are all health care professionals so I guess it must be in the genes! I chose to specialize in rheumatology because I enjoy the challenge of managing various aspects of uncommon systemic autoimmune diseases. It is also quite rewarding to be able to diagnose and treat patients who are suffering from pain and for most part, see a gradual improvement in their symptoms. This allows most patients to return to a more functional status and be able enjoy life again!

I enjoy ethnic cooking and gourmet foods-(especially sushi) and am always looking for new places to dine at. I also enjoy tennis and travelling.

My Credentials

Medical school State University of New York At Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY
Internship Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA
Residency Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY
Fellowship Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Bronx, NY
Board certification Rheumatology, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
