Welcome to the Pathology Department at the Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center. Your visit today will be with Dr. Margaret Guis.

Dr. Guis received her undergraduate degree in medical technology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1977. She complete a residency in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco from 1977-79; in lab medicine, also at UCSF from 1979-81, and in anatomic pathology at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center from 1983-1985. Dr. Guis is board certified in Pathology, Pediatrics, and Pathology.

She also completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology research at UCSF from 1981-1983, and in surgical pathology at Stanford University Medical School from 1985-1986.

Her medical interests include hematopathology and pediatric surgical pathology.

Dr. Guis joined The Permanente Medical Group in February of 1989.
