About Me

Hello! I joined the Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center's Hospitalist service in August of 2005. But my beginnings with Kaiser Permanente date back to the 1980's, when my family first started using the Kaiser Permanente system. I have come full circle to join an organization that provided good, reliable health care for my family and myself.

I was originally born in Punjab, India and my family immigrated to the United States when I was 10 months old. I grew up in sunny California. The majority of my childhood was spent in Fresno on a farm (grapes & vineyards!) where my family made California sun-dried raisins, so we can have a conversation about raisins/grapes rather than just medicine!

I have naturally been inclined towards medicine. Early in childhood, I decided I wanted to be a physician after being inspired by my pediatrician. Training and likes/dislikes led me to the path of Internal Medicine. This specialty allows me to have general knowledge of all areas of medicine (cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, etc.) without being limited to the scope of a subspecialty. I eventually want to volunteer in underserved areas of the world and this specialty allows me to be able to apply what I have learned.

My undergraduate studies took place at University of California at Davis (Phi Kappa Phi) and please review my credentials in regards to medical training. I am affliated with ACP, OPSC, and the AOA.

My philosophy in regards to medicine is largely based on my osteopathic training where a large emphasis was placed on mind, body, and spiritual interplay. Keeping a balance/harmony amongst these does appear to make a difference on one's health. Prevention, exercise, and good diet is absolutely key in maintaining good health and to help all of us thrive!!

In my spare time, I like to travel, go for long scenic drives, spend time with family and friends, listen to music, and go visit the farm!! I am hoping to learn how to fly a plane soon.

Thank you for visiting my home page.

Keep healthy, live long and thrive!!
