About Me

I was born and brought up in Bombay India. I hold an undergraduate degree from University of Bombay. I have a M.B.B.S from T. N Medical College in Bombay.

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1994, as an intern and resident in internal medicine at Kaiser Santa Clara. After I completed my training I began at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara and then came to Walnut Creek as a hospitalist in 1998.

Hospital Practice:

I enjoy my hospital practice greatly. I am firm believer in preventative medicine, but when a medical problem develops, I love to treat its consequences.

Hospital practice presents the challenge of making a diagnosis, the opportunity to treat the problem, and personal gratification when a patient gets well.

I work with a dedicated group of hospitalists who practice a high standard of hospital medicine. Kaiser Permanente has provided me with advanced technology, excellent support staff, multi disciplinary specialty group, and superior professional team to provide the highest quality of evidence based medicine.

I closely work with your personal care physician so that your hospital care is well coordinated before, during, and after your hospital stay.

My Practice Philosophy:

My practice philosophy is that the education of patients (and/or families) about diagnosis and treatment options are very important in assisting those making informed decisions.

I find that each patient is unique in his or her needs. I am committed to ensuring you that my support staff and I will meet your health care needs.

My Personal Life:

It has been an interesting journey from Bombay, India, to my present life as a physician, wife, and a mother. I have a wonderful, supportive husband. I have two sons, one is seven and the other is three. They are my pride and joy. In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking and traveling. I speak Gujarati, Hindi, and Marathi languages.

Kaiser Permanente:

I really admire physician run Kaiser Permanente as a state of the art health care. Its commitment to primary and preventative care is outstanding and I consider it a privilege to work here.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
