Welcome to My Home Page

As your physician, I value my relationship with you. I know that maintaining a good relationship means being able to communicate with each other. My colleagues and I have developed My Doctor Online so that we can stay in touch more easily. Because the better connected we are, the healthier you are.

My Credentials

Medical school David Geffen School of Medicine - UCLA, Los Angeles, CA
Residency University of California Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA
Fellowship Children's Hospital, Los Angeles, CA
Board certification Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics

My Background

After growing up in Southern California, I headed back east and did my undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania where I received a B.A. in Biochemistry with a minor in Italian. The east coast winters were a bit too cold for me so I was back in Los Angeles for medical school. I received my medical degree from the U.C.L.A. School of Medicine. I stayed at U.C.L.A. for my pediatric residency and then went cross-town to Children's Hospital Los Angeles for my pediatric cardiology fellowship. My family and I recently made the move to Sacramento and I joined the Permanente Medical Group in August 2011.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a pediatric cardiologist, I care for a wide age range of patients with heart disease, from the fetus to the adult with congenital heart disease.

Family & Friends

My wife and I are the proud parents of three wonderful children. They keep us on our toes and are fun and very energetic. Most of my free time is spent with my family - biking along the American river trail, jogging, or going to soccer games. We also like to visit the many museums and parks that this region has to offer. We also enjoy hiking and skiing and are excited to be able to take advantage of our proximity to the Sierras.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
