Welcome to my home page!

First of all I would like to let you know a little about me. I was born and raised in Northern California and attended college at The University of California Davis where I received my degree in Biochemistry. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked several years in the biotechnology industry, but I soon decided to pursue my ultimate dream of becoming a physician.

I attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California and then returned to Northern California to complete my residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. During my training to become a physician, I enjoyed caring for patients in the hospital setting and seeing such a drastic improvement in my patient’s health from the time I first met them in the emergency room to the time they were ready to return home. This experience lead me to choose a career as a Hospital Based Specialist.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in the summer of 2005 because their philosophy of integrated health care along with preventive medicine coincides best with my own philosophy of treating patients. I hope to have a long relationship with the Permanente Medical Group and the Redwood City Medical Center. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as: mountain biking, running, rollerblading and other aerobic and weight training activities. I also enjoy relaxing at home watching television or the latest DVD.

Please spend sometime to investigate the links on this page which will direct you to further resources in order to better personalize your care.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
