About Me

I chose physical therapy as a career as I enjoy helping people with neurological and musculoskeletal injuries. As a therapist I have the luxury to spend more time with my patients to help them with their movement dysfunctions. Medicine is a fascinating ever changing field that keeps me on my toes. Consequently I am very knowledge driven to improve my skills and stay on the latest standard with what physical therapy has to offer.

My practice philosophy includes a whole body approach. I believe in getting to the bottom of the problem in order to best help my patients. Consequently differential diagnostic skills from a physical therapy standpoint are very important to me. Close communication with the primary care provider is always very important to me in order to give my patients the best possible treatment. I am very team approach oriented and enjoy getting to know other providers from different departments.

I love working for Kaiser Permanente because we have electronic access to patient charts. That makes team communication and review of patient charts very efficient. Kaiser is a great place to work and get care as a patient. We have excellent providers and most important services are under one roof. In today’s health care environment, I consider Kaiser Permanente the current and future leader with state of the art technology and service.

My clinical interests are in orthopedic injuries, neurologic as well as the treatment of lymphedema for my cancer survivors. I am a certified student instructor and I am looking forward to help educate any future therapists wanting to peruse this exciting ever changing field. I furthermore took on a certification as a Lymphedema therapist to help patient with swelling issues more effectively. I just recently upgraded my degree to a doctorate in Physical therapy to be on the latest standard of education.

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and 3 wonderful sons. We enjoy camping with our trailer along the California coast and mountains. I am a firm believer in regular work out and trying to stay in shape. Exercise rejuvenates my body and soul and helps me have more energy in general.

My advice to all of you is to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Drink plenty of fluids and try to stay in shape. But most important of all, enjoy life.
