I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with high-quality health information through useful handouts and helpful web links.

I was born and grew up in Saigon, Vietnam until 1975. At the end of the Vietnam Conflict, my family immigrated to the United States where I attended colleges and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University in 1979.

Upon graduation, I worked as an electronic engineer in the development laboratories at IBM in San Jose, California. I entered medical school in 1995 to pursue my lifetime goal of being a physician. In 1999, I earned my Medical degree at Ohio University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my Diagnostic Radiology residency in 2004 and a one-year Abdominal Imaging Fellowship in 2005, both at UC Davis Medical Center.

I joined the Radiology Department of South Sacramento Medical Center on July 2005, and am proud to be a member of a quality health care system, and find my work to be rewarding and challenging. My areas of interest include interpretation of CT and MRI imaging. In addition, I am well trained in a number of CT and Ultrasound guided procedures including biopsies.

Almost all of my free time outside of work is spent with my family. When I do have a chance, I like to play tennis and watch sports.

Thank you for taking time reading my home page and allowing me to participate in your health care.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
