About Me

Aloha! I am Hawaii born and raised and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I earned a bachelors degree in biology and later a medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. After medical school I moved to Texas, where I completed my internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. During my time in Texas and Hawaii I have walked next to molten lava, witnessed the winter waves on Oahuís North Shore, experienced Texas snow on the Gulf of Mexico, survived three hurricanes, and had a blast at the Lonestar Motorcycle Rally and the Houston Rodeo. When Iím not at work I enjoy photography, gardening, music, and watching a game here and there with my wife (Go Giants! Go Niners!)

I feel very fortunate to be part of the Kaiser Permanente Team here at Deer Valley. I am surrounded by the most friendly and competent colleagues in Adult Medicine, I have support from the best specialists available, and I work at a state-of-the-art facility that allows me to provide the best possible care to all of my patients. All of this located in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area!

Thank you for visiting my webpage, and thank you for allowing me to participate in your health care. I look forward to seeing you in clinic!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
