Thank you so much for visiting my personal home page! If you are here, I may have met you during a time when you were seriously ill or injured. This Kaiser home page provides links to sites that can help you learn about your medical condition and about services that Kaiser provides so that you can stay well.

I love my job! Emergency medicine allows me to take care of critically ill patients and integrate the disciplines of medicine and surgery into my daily practice. As an Emergency physician, my goal is to evaluate and treat emergent conditions, to address your healthcare concerns, and to ensure that adequate follow-up arrangements are made. It is very important to me that you understand your medical condition and the steps necessary to promote continued health after your visit to the Emergency Department. I appreciate when patients take an active interest in staying healthy and safe, even if this means that I won’t get to see you in the Emergency Department again!

Kaiser Permanente allows me to provide continuity of care for my patients. In many healthcare systems, patients seen in the Emergency department often feel frustrated with inability to connect with a specialist, to find a healthcare primary provider or to obtain important health records. Additionally, Emergency physicians often feel frustrated that they are unable to obtain important imaging and diagnostic tests or have difficulty getting these tests in timely fashion. Kaiser allows your Emergency physicians to obtain all necessary tests in a timely fashion and allows us to send a report of all of the results to your Kaiser Primary Care Provider. Kaiser helps make it easier for you to follow-up with a wide-range of exceptionally qualified specialists and can even arrange for you to see a primary doctor who can become familiar with you and all of your medical concerns. Kaiser helps make it easier for me to help you “get better.”

Outside of work, I enjoy travel, photography and literature. I enjoy being outdoors and love to hike, swim and run when I have free time. I am looking forward to living in the East Bay area!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
