My Biography

After receiving my Bachelor of Science at UCLA, I moved to the East Coast where I completed my medical degree at the University of Rochester in upstate New York. A native of California, I returned to Lost Angeles to complete my residency in Family Medicine at UCLA.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in September 2006 for multiple reasons but most importantly because I shared the vision of providing excellent care to the diverse population of San Francisco. Being raised in the Mission District, I realized the importance of providing culturally appropriate care to our mostly Spanish speaking patients. Kaiser Permanente San Francisco provides this unique opportunity in that it has a Spanish module. As a Spanish-speaking provider I wanted to be part of this positive effort to improve the care of patients.

I strongly believe in preventative medicine, therefore, I take every opportunity to encourage healthy living to all my patients. This includes maintaining a healthy diet, exercise, and weight management. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, reading novels, and spending time with my family.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
