Thank you for logging onto my home page.

I grew up in the Bay Area and headed south to Fresno State for my degree in Physical Therapy, graduating in 1988. I started my career working in private practice clinics, eventually settling in at South Sacramento Kaiser in spring 2003. My career has predominantly emphasized orthopedic manual therapy and I have completed 2 year long manual therapy programs. I was also a "traveling therapist", working in PA, NC and the New England states for 14 months - the travel highlights were the abundant outdoor recreational opportunties, hiking parts of the Applachian Trail in 5 states and driving cross country with my Labrador.

To be able to assist you in your recovery, you and I both have important roles to play. One of my roles is to provide you with the knowledge to understand your condition and how to make the necessary changes to reach your goals. Actively participating in your rehab is expected and is essential for you to succeed. By working as a team, you and I can be successful in meeting your needs. Take a moment to look at the California PT link included on the navigation bar to the left for some additional information about my profession.

Away from work, I enjoy many outdoor pursuits - hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, in addition to adventure travel and a well brewed cafe mocha.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
