Welcome to My Home Page

Thank you for visiting my home page!

I was born and raised in Santa Cruz County. As a child and teen I loved sports, I wanted to try each one. As and adult, I still love trying new activities, I especially enjoy running, biking and playing with my daughter. I earned my undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Latin American Studies at UC Santa Barbara. After school I went to work in San Francisco as a marketing analyst. It was here that I found that I am not a desk person- I needed to be moving around, interacting with people. I met a physical therapist while I was training for my first marathon with Team In Training and decided, "That is the career for me!". Four years of school later, I began practicing in the Antioch outpatient physical therapy department.

I enjoy being a physical therapist because I like working with people and am faced with a new challenge each day. Every day, each patient I see is different and has unique needs. I love being able to see people return to participating in the activities that are most important to them. I want to help people participate in active and healthy lifestyles and make sure that patients understand that they play an integral role in their treatment and help them to achieve and maintain good health.

I like working for Kaiser Permanente because there is such a large, supportive network for providing care. Information can be shared quickly and easily, benefiting the patient right away.

My clinical experiences are in orthopedics and neurological physical therapy. I continue to pursue learning in many facets of Physical Therapy, but especially pediatric and neurological courses.

In addition to English, I also speak Spanish competently.

My Education and Credentials

Undergraduate Education B.A. in Economics, University of California, Santa Barbara
Graduate EducationDoctorate in Physical Therapy, University of the Pacific
LicensureLicensed Physical Therapist by the State Board of California
