My Biography

I was born and raised in Los Angeles County. I attended Stanford University for undergrad and returned to Southern California for medical school at the University of California, San Diego. With my interest in international health, I completed my Masters of Public Health degree at Harvard University. I came to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco for residency training in internal medicine and was fortunate to join the hospital medicine department in 2007. I find hospital medicine rewarding because it allows me to handle acute medical illnesses and the opportunity to connect with the patient during trying circumstances.

As a patient, or family member, we understand that you are likely feeling anxious and concerned. There are various members of the health care team that you will interact with during your stay at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco and are here to help you. My colleagues and I are here to provide comfort, support and exceptional medical care. We hope you have a superb care experience and hope to get you home and back to your loved ones as soon as possible.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy watching cooking shows, running, following the NFL and spending time with my husband, Ben (yes, his name is really Ben Hur), and our two sons, Jonah and Aaron.

Undergraduate Education: BS in Biological Sciences, Stanford University
Graduate Education: MPH in International Health, Harvard University

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
