I became a physician to combine my passions for medical science and caring for people. At Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center, I have the support and technology needed to devote myself to the practice of medicine.

Background

I completed my residency training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. I chose to specialize in hospital based medicine because it is a challenging and rewarding field that makes a visible difference in the health care of acutely ill patients. Being hospitalized is a time of great stress for patients and families, but is also often a time when significant changes can be made for improving their health. My greatest joy is to see patients get better and return home to their families.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, dining out, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Aside from English, I speak Mandarin and limited medical Spanish.

Recommendations

I encourage you to actively participate in your health care, from leading a healthy life style to asking questions about your medical conditions. I hope to form a partnership with you to provide the best care for your needs.

My Credentials

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
