Welcome to My Personal Home Page

I grew up on the east coast and received most of my education and medical training there as well. I graduated with a chemical engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and then attended New York University School of Medicine. I did my anesthesiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and by the American Board of Pain Medicine.

After completing my medical training I spent four years working for the US Air Force, first in San Antonio, TX and then in Fairfield, CA. Although I enjoyed the challenge of working in the US Military, I wanted to live closer to my family in the East Bay. I was happy to join The Permanente Medical Group in 1998.

During my free time I like to read and to learn about history. I also appreciate the many cultural and natural resources located here in the Bay Area. I have enjoyed being able to practice medicine the way I think will most benefit my patients at Kaiser Hayward/ Fremont. I am also proud to be a member of an exceptional department where I have met some of my best friends.

My Credentials

Internship Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY

Fellowship Stanford University Hospital, Stanford, CA
Board certification Anesthesiology, American Board of Anesthesiology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
