My Practice and Philosophy

I enjoy providing for both the well care and urgent care needs of healthy children from birth to college entrance. I‘ve worked with the pediatric population of patients since completing my undergraduate training in 1987 and love the challenge and joy of seeing children grow and mature. I believe each child is unique and I strive to meet my patients' needs by providing evidenced-based care with that fact in mind. I value preventive medicine and enjoy exploring with parents and patients ways to encourage the patient’s overall health. I believe my biggest asset is the time I spend listening to and communicating with my families.

Master's Degree University of California, San Francisco

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1996. On a daily basis, I work with a dedicated, knowledgable, and friendly staff who is committed to the highest quality of patient care.

My Professional Interests

My particular interests include assisting mothers with breastfeeding concerns and helping adolescents make healthy choices as they transition to adulthood. I am also interested in the treatment and management of asthma, the prevention of obesity in childhood, and cognitive development in the infant and toddler. The care of children with stable chronic illnesses (cardiac, diabetes, and neurological and developmental delays) may be managed in consultation with a pediatrician.

My Outside Interests

I enjoy photography, traveling, and camping. I love attending theatre and adore Disneyland, a place I visit at least once a year.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
