Welcome to my practice and thank you for visiting my home page.
I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. I attended San Jose State University from which I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). I later returned to San Jose State University. I receive my Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a dual-focus in Education and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification in 1998.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I began my career at Kaiser in 1989 and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). I was then subsequently promoted to the position of Charge Nurse in the Step-down Telemetry Unit in 1996. During that time, I also worked as a research nurse for Stanford University on a NIH conducted ENRICHD (Enhancing Recovery in Coronary Heart Disease) study. In August 1997, I started the Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Care Management Program. I taught the "Living with Heart Failure" patient education classes from 1997 to 2000 while working as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner and CHF Program Coordinator. From 2000 to 2007, I worked as a primary care Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine.
My practice in Cardiac Electrophysiology started in 2008. As a mid level health care provider, I work with a team of cardiac electrophysiology physicians, physician assistants, registered nurse, and support staff members. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology services to the members of Northern California Kaiser.
My professional interest includes cardiology and patient education. My mission is to provide quality care to my patients, to educate them about their arrhythmias, and together, developing their arrhythmia treatment plan.
I have language abilities in fluent Mandarin and Shanghainese, and some Cantonese. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to classical music, walking my dogs, traveling, hiking and photography.
