Welcome to My Home Page!

Born in Taiwan, I immigrated to southern California with my family when I was in grade school. Ever since my early childhood, I knew that I wanted to serve the community in some way, but it wasn’t until my college years that I realized medicine was a perfect fit for me.

As a physician in the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care, I take care of patients with lung problems in our clinics as well as critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. My philosophy of care is to treat all my patients with compassion and sincerity, while empowering them to take an active role in their medical care.

In addition to English, I speak conversational Mandarin. In my spare time, I enjoy ice skating, running, and spending time with my family outdoors. I am committed in providing excellent health care to all my patients, and I look forward to meeting you!

My Credentials

Medical school Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN
Residency UC Irvine Medical Center, Orange, CA
Fellowship Stanford University, Stanford, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine
Board certification Pulmonary Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
