Welcome to my homepage

Joined Kaiser Permanente Group: 2009

I was born in Arizona, and spent much of my childhood on different Indian reservations where I had my first exposure to indigenous ways of natural healing. As my interests grew over time, I entered pre-med while serving the country overseas in the Army and became a preventive medicine technician. Taking my studies in a more holistic direction, I studied the many different aspects of massage and bodywork training.

My main interests are stroke rehabilitation, oncology, and pain management. Eventually, I sold my spa and founded the American Institute of Natural Healings in Antioch, CA. I started teaching body work, and different types of natural healings for state certification, and continuing education.

I joined Kaiser San Bruno Acupuncture Clinic in February 2009. The staff in San Bruno are spectacular. I am excited about integrating all my knowledge and experiences within a hospital setting here at Kaiser Permanente.

Lastly, but definitely not least, my most important role, closest to my heart is as a devoted wife, and mother of (soon to be) five children. My hobbies include racquetball tournaments, hiking, reading, rock hunting, tai chi, and sculpture.

Credentials: Masters in Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (Oakland, CA)

Languages: I studied a year of Spanish in college, and am finding out how little I can speak the language, but appreciate the patients who give me the chance to practice.

Achievements: General’s Coin, Three Oak Leaf Clusters, and more while serving in the ARMY.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
