About Myself

I was born and raised in Chennai, India. After graduating from the Coimbatore Medical College, the MGR Medical University, India, I completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center, Pennsylvania and worked in primary care for one year at Kaiser Permanente, Union City, CA. I returned to Geisinger Medical Center for my rheumatology fellowship. After working as a rheumatologist for one year in Illinois, I rejoined Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento.

I love rheumatology due to the intellectual challenge it involves in taking care of patients with multi-system diseases. I am a member of the American College of Rheumatology. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my lovely daughter.

I worked on and published an interesting large research project involving measurement and analysis of various quality indicators for rheumatoid arthritis. I received a grant from the Arthritis Foundation for this project. I have several other publications in peer-reviewed rheumatology and medical journals. I have also done multiple presentations in leading rheumatology and internal medicine conferences.

I am delighted to be working for Kaiser Permanente. I am committed to providing the best possible rheumatologic care. With my medical expertise, friendly approach and your co-operation, we can improve your health. I look forward to taking care of you.
