Welcome to my home page.

My name is Layla Ghazzagh and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a special interest in working with children, teens, and their families. I had been part of the Child and Adolescent Team at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City since October 2005, where I provided individual, family and group treatment, and am now located in the Family Medicine department at Pinole.

My professional interest has always focused on working with youth and families, and first started as an undergraduate in college, working in a residential facility with adolescents. After college, I took a year off and pursued my interest in the field by working for a nonprofit agency, providing crisis intervention services to families. My passion grew from there, and I made the decision to pursue my Master’s degree in Social Work. Since then, I have worked in a variety of diverse settings that have allowed me to continue my passion in working with youth and families.

My personal interests include music, travel, interior design, and spending time with friends and family. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
