Welcome to My Home Page!
I attended California State University, Sacramento, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. I worked as a registered nurse in a cardiac intensive care unit for six years before I decided to attend nurse anesthesia school. I attended Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, California where I completed my anesthesia training at many Bay Area and Sacramento hospitals and received a Master of Science degree in Nursing in 1998.
I have been working for Kaiser Permanente as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) since 1998 and I have had the privilege of practicing at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center and now currently at the Walnut Creek Medical Center.
I chose to become a CRNA because I wanted to use my critical care nursing experience and work in a profession which provided a more challenging and autonomous environment. My goal is to provide every patient with a safe anesthetic in a caring and compassionate manner.
I provide all types of anesthesia including general, regional and local anesthesia as well as obstetrical anesthesia.
I value the team approach that our anesthesia department takes when caring for our patients. It is an honor to be a part of a department which is made up of intelligent, caring, and compassionate nurse anesthetists and physicians.
About Me
I grew up right here in Northern California and I am the youngest of four children. Fortunately, my entire family also lives here in Northern California and I enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. I am ridiculously happy being married to Doug who happens to be one of our talented anesthesiologists. Our household is currently run by one spoiled and domineering cat who we call "kitty". When I am not working, I enjoy riding my horse, Tucker, as well as scuba diving, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
