Welcome to my practice…

Hi everybody. Thank you for visiting me on my homepage. I went into medicine because from my childhood onwards there was nothing else that interested me more than the human body and its complex anatomy and physiology. I find it very satisfying to help a sick patient. Also my father is a doctor and has been a great inspiration in shaping up my interest in medicine. The reason I chose hospital based medicine is I like the acuteness of the situation.

About Me

I was born and brought up in India. I went to medical school at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. I came to the US in 2002. I finished my residency in Internal Medicine from Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose.

My Interests

I like spending time with my family and friends. I also like photography, reading, cooking and traveling.

My Recommendations

I strongly believe in “Prevention is better than cure” and in Primary care. Majority of the patients admitted to the hospital are patients with chronic health problems. Everyday we face the ever increasing burden of chronic health problems and their complications. Kaiser has a good network of out patient services and I recommend you to utilize these services to their full potential and be your own advocate in health care.

My Credentials

Medical school Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India
Internship Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA
Residency Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
