Welcome to My Internet Home Page

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I know that we can provide the best possible quality of care and service to you.

About Me

I was born in the State of Washington but grew up in California. My father was a minister and pastored at a couple of churches before ending up in San Francisco. I obtained my medical degree at McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I then completed my family practice residency at St. Michael’s Hospital followed by anesthesia residency at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. I practiced anesthesia for over 16 years in Toronto where I was an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesia. I came to the Central Valley six years ago to be closer to my family. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 on the strength of its commitment to excellence in the practice of medicine and support for the local community. Kaiser Permanente Modesto offers a diverse and exciting place to work.

I am married and we have two sons. When I am not working, the valley is an ideal place to pursue my interests in photography, travel, fitness, and reading.

My Philosophy of Care

I firmly believe in providing the safest and most effective anesthesia possible to my patients. My anesthesia care is tailored to the personal needs and wishes of my patients.

Our entire Anesthesiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your pre-operative office visit, please call (209) 476-3633.

Thank you again for viewing my home page!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
