Welcome to My Internet Home Page
I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide the highest quality of care and service to you.
About Me
I was born in New York and grew up in the Bay Area. I received my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and minor in Philosophy at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. I then went into medical school and obtained my medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Thereafter, I received my internship training and residency training in internal medicine at Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ. My medical interest includes palliative care.
When I was a child, my aunt, who was a physician, came and visited my family as she was studying for her medical board exam. I was impressed by how much she knew about medicine and what fascinated me most was that she was able to diagnose anyone who came to her. As I was watching her studying, I remembered how curious and interested I was when I saw her medical books and medical photos. Since then, I had the dream of becoming a physician. I have now succeeded and enjoy everyday in my practice.
I chose Kaiser Permanente as it is a well established organization. In addition, I can concentrate on taking care of my patients without worrying about the business side of healthcare. I moved to the Central Valley because my husband resides here. I enjoy the environment, and proximity to the Bay Area where I can be close to my family. It is also an ideal place to raise a family. When I am not at work, I like cooking, reading, watching movies and shopping for shoes! Besides English, I speak Gujarati fluently.
My Philosophy of Care
Being in the hospital is never an easy experience for anyone. I want my patient’s experience to be as painless as possible, as comfortable as possible, and at the same time I will provide the best possible care for a quick and lasting recovery.
Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
