About Me

I have worked in substance abuse treatment since 1992. My undergraduate degree is from San Francisco State University where I graduated cum laude with a degree in Clinical Psychology. I received both my Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

I began my Kaiser career in 1997 with the CDRP in Santa Clara as a post-doctoral fellow. I transferred to the CDS program in South San Francisco in 1998 where I ultimately became the Division Chief. In September of 2008 I transferred to the CDRP Oakland where I am currently the Program Director.

I feel very fortunate to work for Kaiser Permanente and I very much enjoy my work here. I have found the people I work with to be a wonderful group of caring individuals who strive to provide the best treatment possible for patients. We offer the most comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment available in the country. The staff is dedicated to their work and dedicated to helping others.

The disease of addiction impacts us all. It is a difficult disease to recover from but recovery is possible -- I see it happen every day. Reaching out and asking for help is often the most difficult step in the recovery process. If you have a problem with substances or someone you love has a problem with substances I hope you will give us a call. You will be accepted and helped by a wonderful group of people who believe recovery is possible for everyone -- including you!!!
