Welcome to my home page

The art of medicine is one of the most challenging, dynamic, and rewarding fields that piqued my interest from an early age. My specialty, pulmonary critical care, is a field which encompasses taking care of individuals with lung problems as well as individuals who are hospitalized and critically ill. I enjoy the opportunities I have to interact with patients and their families. As a physician, I want to empower my patients in understanding and managing their health in any way I can.

I decided to practice at Kaiser Permanente because of their stance for technologically advanced and integrated health care. I also appreciate the overall team effort, which is an integral part of delivering quality care in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

I am a member of the American College of Chest Physicians.

On a personal note, I spend my time away from work with my family and enjoying the outdoors. I also speak Spanish and have an interest in internet technologies.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
