Joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group: 2000

My Biography

I was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in the Detroit suburbs where I attended the same small school for 14 years (Pre K-12). I then began a combined undergraduate-medical school program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After eight years at the University of Michigan, I moved to Chicago to do a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago after completing a preliminary year in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. I then completed my tour of the Midwest by moving to Cincinnati before moving to the Bay Area in 2000. While on faculty for four years at the University of Cincinnati I was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesia and I was a member of the liver transplant team. I also enjoyed serving as co-chair of the anesthesia Faculty Forum and teaching residents and nurse anesthesia students in one of the country’s oldest nurse anesthesia programs.

Here at Kaiser Permanente, I look forward to delivering superior patient care as both a physician and anesthesiologist. My job, as always, is to keep you safe and comfortable. I, along with the other members of our anesthesia care team look forward to meeting you and delivering the best care possible. Here’s to your health!

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
