Background
Keeping you healthy and providing quality healthcare are the reasons I chose physical therapy for my life's work. I am passionate about education because the more you know about your body and health, the more empowered you are! In the clinic, I will evaluate and treat your musculoskeletal needs. For home, I will teach you specific treatments and exercises to restore your range of motion, strength, flexibility, balance, and function. In this process, you will learn a lot about your body and about how to correct any musculoskeletal imbalances. Correcting these imbalances will not only make you feel better, but also help to prevent future injuries.
Roles and Responsibilities
Currently, I am the Physical and Occupational Therapy Supervisor of the San Jose Occupational Medicine Clinic. I supervise the physical therapists (PT), PT aides, the occupational therapists (OT), and certified occupational therapist assistant (COTA) that we staff in our department. I also evaluate and treat my own patients regularly, and oversee the chiropractors and acupuncturists with whom we contract.
I have extensive experience working in Integrated Pain Management Clinics (IPMC). I was responsible for the set-up of a new Kaiser Permanente IPMC in Fontana, California. I created and taught numerous classes for patients with chronic pain.
I started off my career in 2000 at this very location in San Jose Occupational Medicine, where I spent six years treating patients injured at work. As I reflect on my decade+ employment at Kaiser Permanente, I can truly say I am proud to work for this integrated healthcare organization, where I have been fully supported to provide quality care with a personal touch for the entirety of my career.
Please note that I am out of the office on Wednesdays.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
