Being a Health Educator has been a real joy and each day there is something new to learn! I love that my job gives me the opportunity to help members get the information they need to really Thrive!

My health philosophy is that one needs the skills, knowledge, encouragement, and compassion that are all necessary to really Thrive. In college, I first became interested in the way each of the body systems worked together and how small positive changes, that we are all capable of making, such as drinking water or moving around more, were able to bring about amazing changes in the whole body.

I love working here in the Vacaville Health Education Department at Kaiser Permanente because I see people everyday striving for better health and getting there. I am interested in continually learning more and recently completed my Master's Degree in spring of 2009.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
