Welcome to My Internet Home Page

I am Dr. Khoa Dang Vu and I am a hospitalist in the Modesto Medical Center. I was born and raised in Dalat, a small province in southern Vietnam. I obtained my medical degree at St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. I then completed my internal medicine residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. My medical interest includes reading online journals. I always like to make people smile. Being a physician allows me to help people feeling better and to relieve their discomfort. I joined Kaiser Permanente as this organization has a comprehensive health system with well-established patient continuity of care process.

I am married with one little boy and we are expecting a second child soon. When I am not working, I like martial arts (Aikido) and jogging. I chose to stay in the Central Valley because of its proximity to the Bay Area. Best of all, it is a great place to live with affordable housing; there is no parking meters anywhere!! I speak both English and Vietnamese fluently.

My Philosophy of Care

I had spent sometime taking care of my grandmother in the hospital when she was terminally ill. I did not like the fact that she had to suffer so much in her last days. Therefore, my determination is to provide my best possible care to get every patient better, recover faster and to stay out of the hospital ‘Healthy!’

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
