Welcome to my homepage!

I am originally from Boston and have made California my home for the past 20 years. I began practicing clinical social work in 1988. I started working for Kaiser Permanente in 1989, helping to start the hospice program in South San Francisco. I worked directly with patients, their families and also managed their grief and bereavement program. I was honored to have been able to work with such a special group of people at such a meaningful time in their lives. I have been working at the Antioch clinic since 1997, specializing in work with adults.

I also study and teach martial arts and believe very strongly in the mind/ body approach to health. I work towards helping patients integrate this into their lives by helping them learn new skills in order to better achieve their personal goals. I am also an avid tennis player and skier, enjoying these sports with my family.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
