I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with high quality health information.

I was born in China, where I also received my MD degree. I finished one year of internship in Norwalk Hospital, affiliated with Yale University; three years Anesthesia residency in University of Connecticut Health Center; and one year of Pain Management fellowship in Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with Tufts University in Massachusetts. Though I love the gorgeous colors during the fall season on the east coast, I enjoy the beautiful sunshine of California more.

I joined Kaiser Permanente, South Sacramento, in 2002 right after I finished my fellowship training. After eight years of practice in Kaiser, I have no doubt that I made the right choice. Not only could I enjoy nature’s beauty here, but more importantly, Kaiser has offered me the opportunity to practice medicine in which I have been trained: evidence based medicine in both Anesthesia in the Operating Room setting and Pain Medicine in the well-established multidisciplinary Pain Clinic.

My practice philosophy: Offer the highest quality of services and personalized care to each individual patient.

My Credentials

Internship Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, CT
Residency University of Connecticut, Farmington, CT
Fellowship Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA
Board certification Anesthesiology, American Board of Anesthesiology
Board certification Pain Medicine, American Board of Pain Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
