Welcome to My Internet Home Page

My name is Kathleen Blandini and I am your clinical diabetes care manager. My program assistant is Griselda Reyes and she speaks Spanish. You have been referred to our Diabetes Clinic and it is my goal to assist you in taking control of your disease state through education, coaching and medication management. Your questions and concerns are important to us and we will do our best to answer them during our interactive group class and clinical visits. Depending on your needs, I will call upon my colleagues to assist and advise me on delivering to you the best medical care possible. I also work with clinical health educators who will provide you with direct health education, information and counseling for conditions such as weight management, exercise, diet, diabetes care and smoking cessation.

About Me

I received my nursing degree at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. I have had nursing experience in emergency medicine, interventional radiology procedures and I am a Nationally Certified Diabetes Educator working in diabetes management since 2001. My medical interests include diabetes and rare medical disorders. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1992.

When I am not at work, I like attending Blues Festivals, reading, scuba diving, and traveling to new places.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe strongly in preventative medicine and healthy lifestyles. I also believe that patients need to be active in managing their health issues and to maintain their own health. I am here to work as a team, to assist and to guide them through the process so that they can thrive!
