My Practice Philosophy

I strive to provide excellent medical care to my patients and allay the anxieties they may have about their surgery and anesthesia.

About Me

I was born in Manila, Philippines and moved at age 9 years old to the Bay Area. As you can imagine, there was a great deal of culture shock that ensued. I believe that this experience hones the empathy I have for my patients who are nervous about undergoing surgery.

I attended UC Davis for my BS in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. I received my Medical Degree in 2006 from UC San Francisco. I completed my internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA. I returned to UC Davis for both my Anesthesiology residency training and my Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship. I served as Chief Resident from 2009-2010. I am a member of the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. I am board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2011. I speak English and Tagalog.

My Interests

My medical interests include pediatric and general anesthesiology. I enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with my family and dog. My husband is Jeffrey Lee; he is also a Kaiser Permanente Physician.

My Credentials

Medical school UC San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
Internship Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
