Welcome to my home page.

I am excited to have recently joined Kaiser’s talented Occupational Medicine team in Redwood City as a physical therapist. My five years of practice has been in the outpatient orthopedic setting, treating traumatic and repetitive stress injuries of the spine, hip, knee, and shoulder. I use manual techniques to regain joint and soft tissue mobility, educate patients on self-care, and teach functional exercise to normalize movement. I keep people focused on the solution to their problem and enjoy keeping people motivated to do the work that only he/she can do for themselves. It is through the combination of these things that I work my hardest to help people get back to living their lives as they want to live them.

Growing up a gymnast, I have always been interested in the human body and how it works. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. In addition, I completed a yearlong post-graduate practical course in Australian Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy in May, 2008.

I believe all aspects of life present daily challenges and it is in ones outlook and consciously chosen attitude towards work and play which can make it a struggle or an at least occasionally amazing experience.

When I am not at work I enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, and camping with my husband and our 4 year old daughter and friends.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
