Welcome to my home page

I have lived in the Bay area for over 20 years, first at UC Davis where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California Professional School of Psychology (now Alliant University). I trained at Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. I came to Kaiser Oakland Department of Psychiatry in 1995 to complete my post-doctoral training in psychology, and I have been here ever since. My job at Kaiser is in the Child and Family Department where the main focus of my work is on neuropsychological testing of children and teens who have neurologically based risk factors for problems at school, home and in the community.

Through my testing I enjoy helping sort out the various reasons for the challenges a child may face in dealing with their day to day lives. I also enjoy helping children, parents, therapists, physicians and other professionals involved in a child’s life better understand what a child needs to be successful and live well. I am proud to work for Kaiser with its strong commitment to our members’ health, and where I work alongside other professionals who are passionate about the work that we do to help people.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
