Hi! Welcome to my site.

I've been working at Kaiser since January of 2007, when I was hired on to complete my Post-Doctoral Residency, half-time in the Crisis Services Department and half-time in the Intensive Outpatient Program. After residency, in October of 2007, I was hired as full-time staff in the Adult Service.

Currently, I work with adults of all ages doing brief individual therapy. I have a special interest in helping people navigate life transitions, specifically Pregnancy, Peripartum and Postpartum mood changes and becoming a new parent. I truly enjoy being a therapist and helping people to understand themselves better. In addition to offering brief individual therapy, the groups and classes that we offer help people learn valuable skills and to feel that they are not alone!

I believe that cultural awareness is paramount when helping people navigate the difficulties in their lives. These cultural issues can range from the culture of one's particular family, the neighborhood they grew up in, the ethnicity, culture and sexual orientation with which one identifies, or immigration from another country. My own ethnically diverse back ground of being raised in a bicultural American-Iranian home helps in my understanding of cultural issues. I am also a student of all other cultures and enjoy learning from my clients about their unique cultural experiences.

If you are dealing with depression, please visit our new online center for more information about how you can begin to feel better.

Also, you can find more information on how to incorporate healthy choices in to your lifestyle by checking out our Live healthy page - check out the Guided Imagery link for ways you can begin to take care of yourself today!

Best Wishes on your path to leading a healthy life.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
