My Biography

I started working in the Kaiser Permanente Psychiatric Inpatient Unit in Los Angeles, and later transferred to Outpatient Psychiatry in San Francisco. In addition to wanting to move to the Bay Area, I was especially interested in working in San Francisco because of the ability to treat many types of people and disorders. I really enjoy collaborating and working with my colleagues and patients, and like the diversity that our facility offers. I also appreciate the ability of our members to receive complete “integrative care”, including alternative approaches, with relative ease.

In our department, I am able to pursue new interests, and have gradually moved towards my current work in acute psychiatric illness, and later, to neuropsychology. Among my areas of special interest are providing group therapy, working in the Intensive Outpatient Program with acute psychiatric patients, and conducting neuropsychological assessments.

I THRIVE by exercising regularly, maintaining a positive attitude (definitely a “glass half-full” person), appreciating the little things in life, and finding something to look forward to every day. I look forward to working with you at the San Francisco Medical Center.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
