Santa Clara CDRP’s Philosophy

The clinical and medical teams at CDRP, Santa Clara provide a structured, safe, and supportive environment for individuals with addictive illness to recover. We offer a comprehensive program, including medical detoxification, psychiatric assessment and treatment, education, group therapy, and individual counseling. We look forward to working with you and helping you improve your quality of life.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community in the South Bay. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley and received my Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology, Berkeley/Alameda. I have worked and studied in the field of addiction medicine since 1984 and joined the CDRP clinical team in 1996. In 1999 I became a clinical supervisor and team manager. Most recently, 2009, I joined the medical team in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation part-time. My areas of special interest include co-occurring disorders, including chronic pain and the management of chronic pain. I continue to be inspired to stay on the cutting edge of addiction medicine and am proud to be part of a team of such caring and high quality individuals that work together to provide the best possible treatment.

When I’m not in the clinic you will find me enjoying my family and being dedicated to physical/spiritual fitness and the practice of martial arts.
