Welcome to my home page

I have always been interested in the field of medicine, teaching, and the physical arts. Physical Therapy combines all of those interests. I enjoy the challenge of the work and the fact that the field of medicine is always growing. I love the daily interaction with my patients. I believe that my role is to help patients return to a level of function that will enable them to do the things they need to do and also do the things they enjoy. I believe that I am in a partnership with my patients and that we need to work together to determine the appropriate care. I prefer to provide hands-on treatment and patient education rather than use passive modalities.

I’m proud to work for this organization. Kaiser Permanente is involved in preventive care and community outreach. They care about their patients and their employees, and are very supportive of my personal growth as a practitioner.

My clinical interests include orthopedic manual therapy and sports rehabilitation. I am affiliated with the Institute for the Advancement of Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

On a personal note, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, spending time with my friends and family, and cheering my daughter on at her wrestling matches.

My education and credentials:

Physical Therapy Education BS from California State University, Fresno
Licensure Physical Therapy Board of California
Certification Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for Adults, Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association
Advanced Training Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Australian Approach, Castro Valley, CA
Residency Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Kaiser, Hayward, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
